I wouldn’t know what to say if I had you

3) What do you consider the most important values in a man?

Honesty. Loyalty. Ambition. Family values. He doesn’t treat a woman as an inferior, he treats her as an equal, but knows that they have different roles. He doesn’t lie, he doesn’t cheat his way through anything, or on anyone; he works hard and does it the clean way. He’s strong – I’m not talking physically, but mentally. But he knows how to let his guard down with the right person, and that person only. He listens but doesn’t believe until it has been proven – unless it’s said by those he loves. He has goals and never stops working towards them. And when he reaches them, he makes more. And when he has everything he could possibly want, he then works to maintain that. When he has a woman he never stops trying to win her. He could hurt her a million ways but it would never involve another woman, and at the end of the day he will remind her that she is his world (through actions, not words). He’s protective and assertive, and when you see him with his kids it makes your heart melt. He knows the value of everything and most importantly that the most valuable things don’t cost anything but time and effort. And no, he doesn’t need to be wearing a suit and tie to be doing this.

Polonius said it well:

“Give thy thoughts no tongue,
Nor any unproportioned thought his act.
Be thou familiar but by no means vulgar.
Those friends thou hast, and their adoption tried,
Grapple them unto thy soul with hoops of steel,
But do not dull thy palm with entertainment
Of each new-hatched, unfledged comrade. Beware
Of entrance to a quarrel, but being in,
Bear ’t that th’ opposèd may beware of thee.
Give every man thy ear but few thy voice.
Take each man’s censure but reserve thy judgment.)
(i.e Hold your words, and don’t act with haste. Be friendly but not overtly so. If you have good, trustworthy friends, keep them close to you forever, but don’t make friends with everybody you meet. Hold yourself back from fighting, but if you must, stand your ground and make the enemy fear you. Listen to everyone but talk to few. Hear everybody’s opinion, but reserve your judgement. )
Seems like much but if you really think about it, its not so hard. But if you’re loyal, honest, not a lazy ass and can make me laugh, we’re very good ~
